Job Description:
- The position is for an onsite Quality Inspector.
- The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet established quality standards.
- This role involves conducting inspections, verifying documentation, and maintaining accurate records for incoming and outgoing parts and products.
- The ideal candidate has a strong background in quality control, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other functions.
- This role will support Receiving Inspection San Diego, CA.
Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections of incoming materials and outgoing shipments
- Interpret and adhere to quality standards, specifications, and procedures
- Use measurement tools and equipment to verify product dimensions and quality
- Document inspection results and maintain detailed records
- Identify and report defects, deviations, and non-conformities
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes
- Perform administrative tasks associated with file management and material control
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality
Required Skill Sets:
- Previous inspection experience
Desired Skill Sets:
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong knowledge of quality control principles, tools, and techniques
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and organization
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- SAP and Microsoft Office Experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Years of Experience Required (if any):
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
Education Level Required:
- Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
