Salary and Grade:$15.00 per hour; 72, Non-exempt

Position Overview:
n
It is the function of the bus driver to safely transport summer day-camp children and staff to and from daily field trips.
n
Responsibilities
n
Description of Position:
n

Safely transport children and camp staff to and from The Salvation Army and daily activities.
n n- n
Conduct a pre-trip/post-trip inspection when driving.
n n- n
Record any damage or wear in bus. Journal and report to head maintenance.
n n- n
Report any problems related to the bus, such as accidents, damage, or passenger difficulties to Supervisor.
n n- n
Maintain clean bus, interior, windows, and exterior.
n n- n
Responsible for notifying head of maintenance of necessary maintenance and inspections for the bus (annual and semi- annual inspection, oil and filter changes, fire extinguishers, fluids, etc.)

Ensuring the bus is fully fueled and clear of trash following each trip.
n n- n
Maintain bus journal, which entails written log of trips taken, mileage, gas fill ups, toll costs, parking costs, and damages.
n n- n
Responsible for securing the bus at the end of the day; locking all doors, windows, removing trash, and lost and found items.
n n- n
Responsible for notifying head of maintenance of any parts necessary for upkeep of bus.
n n- n
Abide by all applicable driving laws and regulations.
n n- n
Participate in drug testing as requested.

Safely transport children to or from Camp Ladore if needed.

Qualifications
n
Requirements:
n
n- n
Valid PA state driver’s license which includes a CDL with a good driving record.
n n- n
3 years of driving experience.
n n- n
Able to pass the Salvation Army driving.
n n- n
Child Protection Clearances PA Act 153 requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks prior to employment: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check. Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 along with renewals every five years.
