A Software Implementation Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire process of integrating and deploying a new software system within a client organization, ensuring successful implementation by managing project timelines, budgets, resources, and stakeholder expectations, while closely collaborating with technical teams and clients to address their specific needs and configure the software accordingly.
Project Planning and Execution:
- Manage comprehensive implementation plans developed internally or by partner vendors, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Manage project scope, identifying and addressing potential changes through effective change management practices.
- Monitor project progress against established timelines and budget, taking corrective action when necessary.
Client Relationship Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the implementation process.
- Conduct regular status meetings with clients to discuss project progress, address concerns, and manage expectations.
- Understand client business needs and translate them into effective software configurations.
Technical Expertise:
- Collaborate with technical teams to address technical challenges and ensure smooth integration with existing systems.
- Oversee data migration and configuration processes to align with client requirements.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage a cross-functional implementation team, including developers, consultants, and support personnel.
- Assign tasks, delegate responsibilities, and monitor team performance to achieve project goals.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within the implementation team.
Training and Support:
- Oversee the delivery of user training materials and workshops to ensure end-user adoption of the new software.
- Facilitate post-implementation support to address any issues or questions from clients.
Minimum Qualifications :
- 3-5 years of proven experience in managing software implementation projects from initiation to completion
- Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and technical teams
- General technical knowledge needed for software implementation
- Knowledge and experience in change management processes
Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities :
- Project Management Certification
- Solutions architecture experience
- Organizational Change Management experience using ADKAR or other methodology

ITS Security Requirements :
Selected candidates must agree to and sign the ITS Non-Disclosure Policy , ITS Employee Security Policy and successfully pass a Criminal Record Background Check performed by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department that includes:
- An identity verification
- A state of residency checks for the last ten (10) years
- A National Criminal Information Center (NCIC) record and fingerprint check
Selected candidates that do not receive a ‘PASS’ status on the Criminal Record Background Check will not be retained.
