Lead Line Cook
This full time position is available to a self motivated, professional and reliable chef with a minimum of four years working in professional restaurant kitchens.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of all ingredients, cook and assemble all dishes indicated by recipes and by directive of chef team.
- Open and set up your station, work service, break down and clean your station to company standards
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the day and comply with our food safety protocol and company standards.
- Ensure quality and freshness of product by writing daily prep lists and maintaining par levels.
Qualifications/skills
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required, Culinary Degree is a plus
- 4 years working in restaurant kitchens, hot line and saute experience required, upscale or fine dining preferred but not required
- Understanding of all cooking methods, reading kitchen checks, ability to follow a recipe, and good knife skills
- Ability to perform tasks with speed, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Must be highly organized, self-motivated, a quick thinker, and dedicated to your craft
- Possess the ability to thrive in a very high demand restaurant as well as the ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time, bend, stretch, and lift heavy materials (minimum of 50lbs)
Work Hours/Benefits
- 5 day (Wednesday-Sunday) 40 hour work week with two days off and overtime if needed; overtime at time and a half
