Job Description

Our established construction client is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Project Manager to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of project delivery, including safety, scheduling, cost and change management, subcontractor coordination, quality control, and project documentation, while driving profitability and successful outcomes through effective planning, negotiation, and construction management.


This role is based in Ottawa and requires periodic travel to Bagotville, QC.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle, including design team coordination, scheduling, budgeting, and scope review with superintendents.
  • Maintain and manage project schedules to ensure timely completion.
  • Handle change requests and oversee the execution of change orders.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly internal and external reports for stakeholders and team members.
  • Conduct bi-weekly site meetings and perform detailed progress reviews with superintendents.
  • Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards in coordination with the HSE officer.
  • Support on-site staff in resolving disputes and other project-related issues.
  • Monitor performance, evaluate quality, and coordinate project close-out documentation with the project coordinator.
  • Assist in developing and implementing project-specific quality management plans and adhere to company quality standards.
  • Ensure all company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards are followed.


Qualifications:

  • Must hold an active Secret Clearance and possess a valid driver’s license in good standing.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English (verbal and written) is required.
  • Proven experience in a project manager/assistant project manager/project coordinator role specializing in ICI construction projects.
  • Post-secondary certificate or diploma in architecture/engineering/construction technology or a related field is preferred.
  • Skilled in problem-solving, decision-making, and working collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational, time management, multitasking, and communication skills (both oral and written).
