Summary of Position:
Manage the office's activities, including day-to-day operations. Report directly to the CFO/Executive Director to ensure the systems work correctly, all invoices are paid, and checks are posted. This role will grow to carve out a long and exciting career with the 60+ year-old company.
Responsibilities:
- Manages all accounting-related matters, including AP and AR, and reconciles monthly bank statements.
- Receives and verifies expense reports; reconciles expense and other financial reports with account balances and other office records.
- Verifies and completes payment of invoices associated with accounts payable, ensuring proper posting of accounts.
- Ensures invoices are paid promptly and accurately while adhering to departmental procedures.
- Manages, records, and processes financial transactions, including all bank deposits and merchant transactions.
- Updates and closely monitors accounting databases.
- Assists and forecasts annual department budgets.
- Uploads bank fraud protection monitoring files and reviews approves or denies exception reports.
- Coordinates with software vendors to maintain accounting software systems; recommends updates to enhance the accounting software.
- Leads development and implementation processes for the organization’s IT systems.
- Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure.
- Oversees computer technical support between users and external IT vendors.
- Maintains office supplies and equipment and works with other departments on stock needed.
- Reviews and negotiates with vendors regarding contracts and agreements.

Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.
- At least five years of office management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
