Director of Marketing

Techead had partnered with a fast-growing industrial parts distributor to help them hire an experienced Director of Marketing. This person will play a critical role in shaping the marketing strategy, enhancing market presence, and driving business growth for our client.
Job Summary:
In this highly-visible role, you will be responsible for demand-generation and revenue operations across all entities of this PE-acquired business. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in market research, market sizing, SEO/SEM and proven success in B2B marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
- Manage, mentor, and develop a small team of marketing professionals.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
Revenue Operations:
- Own and optimize revenue operations processes, including lead generation, pipeline management, and sales enablement.
- Collaborate with sales and finance teams to align marketing strategies with revenue goals.
Market Research & Analysis:
- Conduct comprehensive market research and market sizing to identify opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
- Analyze industry trends, competitor activities, and customer insights.
SEO/SEM Management:
- Develop and implement effective SEO and SEM strategies to increase online visibility and lead generation.
- Monitor and optimize campaigns for maximum ROI using analytics tools.
B2B Marketing Strategy:
- Design and execute B2B marketing campaigns that align with business objectives.
- Leverage content marketing, social media, email marketing, and other channels to engage target audiences.
Strategic Planning:
- Contribute to the overall marketing strategy and annual planning processes.
- Set KPIs and metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
Collaboration:
- Work cross-functionally with product development, sales, and customer success teams.
- Communicate marketing plans and results to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of marketing experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in B2B marketing and revenue operations.
- Strong knowledge of market research methodologies and data analysis.
- Expertise in SEO, SEM, and digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, AdWords).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in marketing automation platforms and CRM systems.
- Proven success in and understanding of the unique demands of a company undergoing rapid expansion.
