Job Description Summary
As a Sr. Financial Analyst, you will:
- Support the organization's accounting activities, including financial record keeping and reporting.
- Maintain records of the organization's financial activity in accordance with GAAP, organizational standards, and in compliance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
- Create reports on financial performance for internal and external use.
- Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities related to foreign exchange, cash management, and tax, including preparing audit work papers.
Job Description
- Assist in the preparation of monthly operating unit review meeting materials and other group meeting deliverables.
- Perform day-to-day financial activities such as analysis of actual, budget, and forecast information.
- Assist in the development of the monthly financial forecasts, annual budget,t and long-range financial plan (LRFP)
- Complete month-end reporting, financial walk-downs, and account reconciliations.
- Responsible for the day-to-day controlling activity for this legal entity, coordination and review of external accounting firm work, legal, treasury, and tax matters for the legal entity
- Participate in projects/activities to improve the quality and timeliness of financial processes.
- Prepare various financial reports to site management.
- Assist operating departments in the analysis, communication, and interpretation of operational and financial data.
- Analyze plant inventory costs and assist with site annual physical inventories (API).
- Support internal and external audit requests and control testing activities.
- Frequent contact with others outside the work group.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Education
- Completed Bachelors Degree with a major in Accounting or Finance.
- 5+ years experience in a manufacturing/automotive environment.
- Strong experience with costing, variance analysis, GAAP, SOX, etc.
