They are seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineering Manager to lead efforts in ensuring quality and performance for a range of energy storage products. This role will serve as the vital link between design and manufacturing teams, focusing on scaling production capabilities and maintaining top-tier quality standards. The ideal candidate will oversee a dedicated team and work closely with internal departments and external partners to support high-impact initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide the selection and development of suppliers for reliable and high-performance electronics.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure contract manufacturers meet stringent process requirements.
- Establish and monitor key quality metrics, driving improvements in collaboration with manufacturing partners.
- Develop and enforce specifications that align with quality and performance objectives.
- Provide expertise in selecting materials and refining production processes.
- Implement and maintain process flows, risk assessments (PFMEA), and control plans.
- Oversee quality approval processes, ensuring tools and procedures maintain consistent high standards.
- Lead activities related to product launches and align them with established development processes.
- Drive corrective action plans for supplier-related issues and track resolutions to completion.
- Serve as a quality expert during the product development process to ensure manufacturing readiness.
- Represent quality management in team and leadership discussions, providing status updates and progress reports.
Minimum Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial technology, or business, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 8 years of experience in the production and design of electronic or electromechanical products, with a focus on quality management in a contract manufacturing environment.
- A minimum of 5 years managing, mentoring, or leading technical teams.
- Strong ability to analyze data and present clear, actionable insights.
- Expertise in PCB design and manufacturing processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in electronics manufacturing, particularly with power systems or consumer devices.
- Familiarity with certification standards such as UL1741.
- Proven success in managing budgets and controlling project costs.
- Previous experience collaborating with global teams in a complex organizational structure.
