Shape the Future of Spaceflight


In this critical role, you will play a central role in my clinet's core technology. You will help scale their efforts within the electric propulsion market, designing, building, and delivering the future of in-space propulsion.


Responsibilities:


  • Design, optimize, build, and test critical spacecraft and ground support electronics.
  • Expertise required in various electrical engineering disciplines including embedded systems, data handling, sensor interfacing, and power electronics.
  • Manage the entire PCB design process, from requirements definition to production release.
  • Conduct environmental, EMI/EMC, and spaceflight readiness testing on all components.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams across the industry.
  • Develop and manage supplier statements of work.
  • Provide technical leadership and conduct system checkouts.
  • Experience working in small teams across the entire engineering lifecycle.


Key Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in electrical systems development.
  • Knowledge of high-speed analog, digital, and mixed-signal design, simulation, and analysis.
  • Knowledge of power electronics systems, including DC/DC and DC/AC conversion.
  • Familiarity with avionics design, fabrication, testing, and delivery processes.
  • Experience with MCUs, digital communication protocols, and their application in space environments.
  • Proven ability in PCB design and layout, with a focus on speed, noise mitigation, thermal management, and manufacturability.
  • Experience with requirements analysis and flow-down.
  • Experience with space systems engineering principles and techniques.
  • Experience working in the Space/Aerospace industry


Nice to have requirements:


  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in working with spacecraft systems.
  • Familiarity with programming languages C and Python.
  • Experience with radiation testing of electronic prototypes.
  • Experience with EMI/EMC testing of aerospace hardware.
  • Experience with Altium Designer or similar PCB design software.
  • Experience overseeing hardware suppliers.
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical systems.
  • Experience performing electrical loads analysis.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
