Title: System Security Engineer

Location: Topeka, KS--We need local talent, and they will need to be onsite for their first 6 months.

Duration: 6-9 Months Contract to hire

We are seeking a dedicated System Security Engineer to join our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, configuring, and ensuring the optimal operation of cybersecurity tools and systems. This role involves a blend of technical acumen, analytical skills, and a proactive mindset to anticipate and mitigate potential security threats. translate complex information into easily understandable text.

Required skills, qualifications, and education:

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cybersecurity role with hands-on experience managing security tools

• Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proven ability to perform under pressure.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• A robust understanding of network infrastructure and security protocols.

• Demonstrated experience with cloud security principles and technologies.

Preferred Additional Skills & Certifications:

• Scripting Proficiency: Skill in scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell, aimed at automating tasks and analyzing threats.

• Possession of industry-recognized certifications, including but not limited to Security Plus and CompTIA, is highly desirable
