We are seeking a highly motivated, senior associate or counsel with six+ years of experience to join our nationally recognized Employment and Labor practice in either our Irvine, San Francisco or Santa Monica office. If you are the ideal candidate, you will have experience in the following areas:
- At least six or more years of experience with counseling and defending both (1) single-plaintiff employment cases and (2) class and collective actions in wage and hour cases and class wide allegations of unfair employment practices.
- Experience counseling and advising employers in employment matters, including discipline/discharge, discrimination/harassment, restrictive covenants, ADA/FMLA compliance, and wage and hour issues;
- Experience taking and defending depositions, managing written discovery, and drafting and arguing motions;
- Experience drafting complex class and collective certification opposition briefs;
- Experience drafting employment agreements, separation agreements, position statements, employee handbooks, and other employment-related documents;
- Strong legal research skills;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, superior analytical skills, and the ability to manage client engagements;
- Excellent interpersonal skills, can-do attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and assume a high degree of responsibility.
