Controls Engineer Summary:

We are seeking a talented Controls Engineer to join our team at. In this role, you will focus on developing automated machine systems and optimizing control algorithms, with a primary emphasis on PLC programming and proficiency in Visual Studio. While C++ knowledge is preferred, it is not mandatory.

Controls Engineer Responsibilities:

Interface with customers and sales to define project requirements.

Collaborate with the Sales team to develop project estimates.

Design electrical controls for machines to meet customer specifications for vinyl sawing, welding, corner cleaning, and fabrication.

Develop PLC software for machine control to achieve defined performance objectives.

Create comprehensive electrical schematics.

Ensure timely engineering design release.

Provide technical support to customers, manufacturing, sales, and field service.

Drive productivity and enhance operator experience through programming changes, equipment updates, and HMI screen improvements.

Enhance and refine existing control systems, including robotic programs, PLC programs, relay logic, electrical distribution, motor controls, operator interfaces, hydraulics, and pneumatics distribution and control.

Controls Engineer Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent practical experience.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical controls, with a strong focus on PLC programming.

Proficiency in Visual Studio for HMI programming; knowledge of C++ is preferred.

Hands-on experience in motion control, robotics, machining, and automation.

Solid skills in AutoCAD and SolidWorks for electrical schematic design and system modeling.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information effectively.
