Salary: $140,000–$160,000 (15% Bonus Eligibility)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (Flexibility required for occasional early mornings, late evenings, or weekends due to 24/7 plant operations)

Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Engineering Manager to join our team in Zumbrota, MN. This role is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing engineering operations in a high-speed manufacturing environment, ensuring optimal equipment functionality, safety, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing capital projects, experience in food, dairy, or beverage production (preferred), and strong leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage engineering activities in a 24/7 high-speed manufacturing facility.

Oversee capital projects from inception to completion, including gathering operator input, securing budget approvals, and coordinating technical resources and team collaboration.

Ensure operational efficiency and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Provide strategic input and solutions for process improvements and equipment upgrades.

Manage and mentor direct reports to build a high-performing engineering team.

Act as a liaison between operators, technical resources, and senior leadership to align engineering strategies with organizational goals.

Be available as needed for critical situations that may arise outside of normal business hours.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field.

A minimum of 6+ years of related manufacturing experience, with at least 1+ years in a management role.

Proven expertise in capital project management, including budget preparation and team collaboration.

Experience in high-speed manufacturing environments is required.

Experience in the food, dairy, or beverage industry is preferred.

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Flexibility to adapt to the demands of a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
