About the Role The Senior Benefits Analyst will manage employee benefit plans, document process changes, and lead process improvement initiatives. This role develops, implements, and administers total rewards programs with a focus on benefits. Responsibilities include creating plan materials, monitoring market trends, and identifying opportunities for program improvements. The analyst will also provide guidance to employees, retirees, and HR staff while collaborating with Payroll, Recruitment, HRIS, and Finance to communicate benefit updates and answer complex questions.
What You Will Do
- Manage daily operations for health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, FSA, HSA, leave management, and wellness programs.
- Administer retirement programs, including funding approvals, withdrawals, and compliance testing.
- Partner with brokers and carriers for efficient benefit administration and employee inquiries.
- Lead annual open enrollment and ensure accuracy of elections.
- Oversee leave management, including disability, FMLA, state leave, accommodations, and workers' compensation.
- Monitor vendor file feeds, data reviews, and discrepancy reports.
- Document administrative procedures for benefits processes.
- Support compliance requirements (ACA, Form 5500, audits, and policy updates) in collaboration with the Senior Manager of Compensation/HRIS.
- Work with Payroll to ensure accurate benefit deductions.
- Maintain and update benefit information on internal resources.
What You Need
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in U.S. benefits, including retirement, health, welfare, leave, and disability administration.
- Experience managing vendors and workflows in systems like Workday and Reliance Standards.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations affecting benefits (ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, DOL requirements, etc.).
- Ability to analyze data, develop conclusions, and create actionable plans.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
