Construction Estimator Position Summary:
As a Construction Estimator, you’ll play a critical role in the pre-construction process, ensuring budgets, plans, and deadlines are aligned for project success. This position calls for a detail-oriented professional with a knack for organization and thriving under deadlines.
Construction Estimator Responsibilities:
- Analyze project requirements, develop accurate budgets, and provide advisement on construction projects.
- Collaborate with designers, developers, and trade partners to align progress drawings with budgets and project scopes.
- Conduct detailed data analyses to support informed project decisions.
- Work with pre-construction and project management teams to hire subcontractors and vendors that meet specifications.
- Maintain an up-to-date industry cost database for reliable forecasting.
- Prepare and present detailed reports to senior management.
- Apply knowledge of project management systems, including scheduling, estimating, and procurement.
Construction Estimator Requirements:
- Knowledge of the construction industry and operations.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and a drive for continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree highly preferred, or equivalent experience with a minimum of 3 years in construction and/or estimating.
- Ability to work onsite.
