Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Distribution Engineer with 5 to 10 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, developing, and managing distribution systems for electrical power, water, natural gas, or other utilities. As a Distribution Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and compliance of our distribution networks, while optimizing performance and meeting regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Design: Plan and design distribution systems (electrical power lines, water pipelines, natural gas networks, telecommunications cables).
- Network Optimization: Enhance network performance by optimizing for efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Project Management: Oversee distribution projects from planning to completion, ensuring they stay on schedule and within budget.
- Compliance & Regulation: Ensure systems meet safety standards and comply with industry regulations and environmental requirements.
- Technical Analysis: Perform load flow analysis, fault analysis, and voltage drop calculations to ensure system functionality.
- Upgrades & Maintenance: Identify opportunities for system upgrades and schedule routine maintenance to prevent disruptions.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure designs and implementations meet high standards.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records, drawings, and documentation for all systems.
- Safety: Promote safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment and minimize risks to personnel and the public.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, field technicians, and project managers, to achieve project goals.
- Customer Support: Provide technical support and address client inquiries related to distribution systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in distribution system design and management.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred or required depending on region).
- Proficiency in distribution system design software and tools.
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address technical challenges.
- Project management experience, including budgeting, scheduling, and execution.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety.
- Ability to adapt to changing technologies and industry trends
