HiFyve is working with a company in Richmond, IN that is hiring for Senior Sales Manager in the Food and Beverage Industry.
Salary: $110k-$120k + 15% bonus
Full Benefits Package
Travel: 25%
General Purpose
The Senior Sales Manager oversees one or more sales teams and their activities within assigned regions, accounts, or branches to optimize profitability and operational efficiency. This role may also include personal responsibility for one or more key accounts. The Senior Sales Manager serves as a resource for the sales team by providing coaching, consulting, and modeling effective selling strategies and techniques. The role is accountable for achieving assigned volume, profit, new distribution, and administrative targets for the designated region or accounts.
Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute operating plans for assigned accounts. Identify gaps in account plans and support team members with planning and execution.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to take ownership of account performance and address challenges and opportunities. Lead customer meetings as appropriate.
  • Clearly communicate sales execution standards and processes, including account and regional planning, pre-call and post-call preparation, insights gathering, opportunity pipeline management, and reporting. Ensure the team is focused on priority initiatives and meeting account objectives.
  • Coach the sales team on growing customer relationships and improving service levels. Provide guidance on balancing customer needs with organizational goals through mutually beneficial solutions.
  • Perform account management responsibilities for key accounts, including developing and delivering persuasive selling presentations.
  • Solicit new business with existing and prospective customers within the assigned territory, while guiding the sales team to do the same. Develop personal growth objectives and ensure team members establish and pursue their goals.
  • Assist the sales team in overcoming barriers such as communication breakdowns and process inefficiencies. Provide solutions to complex problems while holding team members accountable for resolving routine issues.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Analyze business performance using data to identify opportunities and develop strategies.
  • Monitor accounts receivable reports to address unusual customer activities or payment failures, ensuring compliance with established credit policies and objectives. Take action to resolve delinquent accounts.
  • Work closely with other teams, including marketing, product development, customer service, and logistics, to deliver exceptional customer care throughout the sales cycle.
  • Drive to exceed budgeted volume and margin targets, supporting the achievement of overall financial goals.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience and education.
  • 8+ years of progressive sales or related experience in the food and beverage industry, with at least 1 year of management or recognized leadership experience (e.g., project or team leadership).
  • Proven record of career advancement and achieving profitable sales growth.
  • Experience in the retail, dairy, consumer packaged goods/foods, or a related industry.
