Ultimate Staffing is seeking R&D Technicians for our client in San Jose. These are 100% onsite role, temp to perm with a starting pay of $25-$31 an hour based on experience. All employees work an alternative work schedule 12 hours a day 3 days a week (Thursday, Friday, Saturday) and then 4 days a week (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday) 6am to 6pm. There are NO exceptions to these working hours for these positions.
Requirements-
Basic computer skills
Experience working in clean rooms, medical and/or semi conductor industry is preferred but not mandatory
Job description
The job will require handling sensitive parts that are prone to cracking and using microscopes to image the parts. Product QC.
Responsibilities:
Perform failure analysis, physical characterization, and process development work.
Prepare samples, enter and interpret test data, and maintain lab records.
Operate FIB/SEM for high-volume sample analysis.
Build and test new materials for R&D experiments, including coin cells and pouch cells.
Assist with general lab work and support solid-state materials processing experiments
Minimum Requirements:
At least an AA degree or equivalent with 2 years of combined education and experience.
Experience with SEM/FIB operation or other laboratory techniques.
Knowledge of chemical handling, sample preparations, and hazardous waste disposal
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Li-ion battery or analytical test labs.
Ability to work in a dynamic research environment and adapt to evolving priorities.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and database management
Physical Requirements:
Work in a dry room, fume hood, or glovebox.
Use fine motor skills and stand for extended periods.
