Robert Half is working with an established DTLA law firm specializing in legal malpractice, professional liability, and business litigation.

This is a hybrid on-site role based in downtown Los Angeles.

Attorney Responsibilities:

• This person will work on legal malpractice, professional liability, and business litigation matters.
• A-Z case management of cases from inception through trial. Typically, cases will have a partner and anywhere from 1-3 attorneys.
• The attorney will be given the ability to have these clients become their own client.
• Discovery, including depositions.
• Law and motion.
• Court appearances.
• Pleadings.
• Communicating with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel.
• Billable Hour Req: 1850 – this includes time where associate attorneys are mentored or go on to mentor junior associates, time spent on client development, business development, time spent doing CLEs.

Compensation, Benefits, Other Perks:

• Salary range: 200,000 to 225,000.
• Anything above 1850 is bonused out, paid 2x per year.
• 10% generation for what is collected on any client brought in – even if the attorney does not work on that matter.
• Medical is covered 100% for the employee and immediate family, this kicks in first of the month after employment.

Requirements

• Around 10 years of litigation experience, exposure to legal malpractice and professional liability a major plus.
• Trial experience is a strong preference.
• Strong writing experience with non-templated, complex law and motion.
• Licensed by the CA Bar.
• Commutable to downtown Los Angeles.
