Seeking a Full-Stack React and Django Developer to join the Vehicle Operations Team. This is a contract position located at the regional office in Long Beach, CA. The primary focus of this role is to support the development of an in-house web application tool. You will collaborate with multiple departments, including IT. The team is building an application for the workshop and with person will be helping with managing meetings, coding, documentation, this is a new project and

This person will help with organizing different aspects of the project not just coding (scheduling meetings, operations side, not taking, sometimes running meetings)

Responsibilities:

• Design and build features for in-house web application tool.

• Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to gather requirements and provide updates.

• Attend and host meetings, ensuring effective communication and documentation.

• Take and maintain detailed meeting notes within Confluence.

• Develop and maintain both front-end and back-end components of the application.

• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.

• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.

• Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise.

• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve the application.

Skills and Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Software Development, Computer Science, or a related field.

• 2-3 years of experience in React and Django development.

• Solid understanding of Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture.

• Strong coding skills in Python and JavaScript.

• Knowledge of web-based programming languages such as HTML and CSS.

• Exceptional time management and ownership of assigned tasks and feature developments.

• Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.

• Proficiency in using version control systems like Git.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Full-stack development experience.

• Experience with DevOps and server maintenance.

• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker.

• Managed a software project from beginning to end.
