Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Benefits Manager to oversee and administer their employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and exceptional employee support.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for employees, addressing benefits inquiries regarding plan provisions, enrollment, status changes, and general concerns.
  • Provide customer service support to both internal and external stakeholders, including carriers and third-party administrators.
  • Interpret and manage FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absence and disabilities. Collaborate with leave administrators to process employee LOAs (Experience with Sparrow or similar external leave administrators is a plus!).
  • Administer the firm’s workers’ compensation program and ergonomic request process.
  • Maintain accurate benefits enrollments in the HRIS to ensure vendors receive correct eligibility data.
  • Process life events and related updates within the HRIS.
  • Oversee benefits billing reconciliation, reporting, and fee processing with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Develop communication tools to enhance employee understanding of benefit offerings.
  • Maintain employee benefits records and update payroll systems as necessary.
  • Manage 401(k) administration, including compliance and required filings.
  • Assist with new hire orientations and open enrollment by designing, presenting, and distributing materials.
  • Collaborate with the payroll team to ensure accuracy in benefits-related data.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to benefits administration, including carrier compliance reporting.
  • Work closely with HR leadership to align benefits programs with company objectives and employee needs.
  • Conduct regular audits to assess plan effectiveness and accuracy.
  • Perform other related tasks and responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in benefits administration or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of benefits regulations, including ERISA, COBRA, and ACA.
  • Experience with ADP HRIS strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Fidelity 401(k) administration is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, adapt to change, and work with a sense of urgency.
  • Proficiency in benefits management software and HRIS platforms.
