Role & Responsibilities:
Responsibilities Administer/monitor attendance, Family Medical Leave (FMLA) and medical leave of absence in accordance with the UAW Collective Bargaining Agreement, Company Policy, applicable regulations, Company practice and Local Contractual Agreement. Conduct corrective action discussions as required for chargeable absences, failure to follow notification process and tardiness. Properly document corrective action hearing outcomes. Follow-up with supervision to successfully close out open attendance and tardiness issues. Audit attendance and tardiness records. Correct attendance codes as required. Serve as the attendance subject matter expert. Maintain required documentation for FMLA administration. Act as liaison between supervision and the local medical department. Act as the single point of contact for employees requesting FMLA. Act as the single point of contact to our third-party medical administrator. Identify opportunities to streamline processes and procedures.
Skills Required:
- 2+ years of Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Strong oral and written skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Experience:
- 1+ years of Previous Manufacturing experience.
- Attendance and FMLA monitoring experience.
- 6 months+ previous Human Resources experience.
- Experience working with union (UAW) environments.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
