Experienced Chef Wanted. This is a full time position running a busy kitchen in a neighborhood Bistro environment. T his is a position for a hands-on chef who plans to work on the line with their team. The right candidate will have a strong culinary background with at 3 years of kitchen management experience.
Requirements:
- Must be willing and available to work about 45- 50 hours per week
- Ability to multi-task in a high paced environment
- Ability to continue to develop and tweak our menu seasonally, as well as coming up with new and exciting specials
- Ability to manage and oversee all kitchen operations- including ordering product & scheduling staff
- Understanding of food cost and labor cost
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays
- Ability to work long shifts on your feet, and occasionally lift packages as heavy as 50lbs.
- Basic Knowledge of Classic Continental Cuisine is a MUST
- Knowledge of craft beer, spirits, and wine for cooking and pairing
- ServSafe certification is a plus, but we'll pay for it if needed
