Job Summary:
The Professional Host will be responsible for managing the front of house, greeting and seating guests, and ensuring a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, a polished and professional appearance, and a passion for providing outstanding service in a high-end dining environment. This role requires a keen attention to detail, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting, and the ability to always maintain a calm and welcoming demeanor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests warmly and professionally as they enter the restaurant, making them feel welcome and valued.
• Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and guest flow to ensure a smooth and efficient dining experience.
• Maintain an organized, accurate guest waitlist, ensuring that guests are seated in a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively with the service team, kitchen, and management to coordinate seating and special requests.
• Provide guests with information about the menu, seasonal features, and restaurant policies in a knowledgeable and engaging manner.
• Escort guests to their tables, ensuring that they are comfortable and well-accommodated.
• Ensure that the dining area is visually appealing, clean, and organized, including monitoring the entryway and restrooms.
• Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests with professionalism, providing prompt and effective resolutions.
• Assist with managing the flow of guests during peak hours, helping to minimize wait times and optimize seating capacity.
• Coordinate with the management team to accommodate VIP guests, members, large parties, and special reservations.
• Answer phone calls in a friendly and professional manner, assisting with reservations, directions, and general inquiries.
• Uphold the restaurant’s standards of hospitality, professionalism, and service excellence.
• Always maintain a professional appearance, adhering to the restaurant’s dress code and grooming standards.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Host, Hostess, or similar role in a high-end restaurant or upscale hospitality setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a polished, professional demeanor.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm and organized under pressure, especially during peak dining times.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing exceptional guest service.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the front of house team, kitchen staff, and management.
• General knowledge of both Driven and Endless business descriptions.
• Strong computer and reservation system skills (experience with TOAST)
• Ability to maintain a professional and polished appearance that aligns with the restaurant’s high-end image.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to walk and navigate around the restaurant efficiently.
