AR Specialist (Cash Application Experience)
Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist (Cash Application)
Location: New Hyde Park, NY 11042 (Fully Onsite)
Pay Rate: $22/hr
Job Type: Temp-to-Perm (3.5 Months)
Business Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)
Responsibilities:
- Process and apply cash payments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Post payments received from branches.
- Submit credit card deposit data to the NYO.
- Transmit remote deposits to Bank of America (BOA).
- Compile collection sheets for check payments.
- Scan paid tickets into DocuXplorer.
- Respond to accounts receivable inquiries and follow up as needed.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
- Minimum 2+ years of Accounts Receivable and cash application experience.
- Experience with credit & collections and billing systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and reporting skills.
- Industry experience preferred (e.g., Wholesale Distribution with foreign/domestic suppliers).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service and task management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
