Principal Engineer / Architect
As Principal Engineer / Architect you will be responsible for the architecture, design, and development of the APx500 platform and provide technical guidance to all members of the software team.
This is a hybrid position in Beaverton, OR.
Principal Engineer / Architect Responsibilities
- Lead software feature development, responsible for the development of the software architecture and software/hardware interface.
- Work in conjunction with the Product Owner and Product Line management to define new features.
- Provide technical leadership, guide and provide mentorship to the software engineering team, drive adoption of and ensure best practices in coding and design.
- Ensure product quality, conduct code reviews, design reviews, and ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices.
- Project management, drive the delivery of new products and features.
- Defect management, participate in the defect triage process and manage the reproduction of software bugs, development of solutions or workarounds, and their deployment to the field.
- New technology identification, constantly observing the state of the art and its potential applicability to new products and solutions.
- Collaborate and communicate with other parts of the business including sales, marketing, technical support, and manufacturing.
- Interface with key customers and mediate the technical requirements of our customers.
Principal Engineer / Architect Qualifications
- >20 years software engineering experience, mastery of multiple programming languages including C, C++, C#, Python, and platforms including Windows, Mac, and embedded systems.
- >20 years of experience with analog and digital signal processing including assembler level DSP development.
- Demonstrated mastery of complex products integrating hardware, software, and audio signal processing.
- Demonstrated experience leading software engineering teams.
- Knowledge of standard audio measurements and their implementation.
- Strong leadership and excellent communication skills.
Compensation: Up to 200K/yr. (DOE)
