JOB TITLE: Sales Operations Manager

STATUS: Exempt

DEPARTMENT: Sales + Marketing

REPORTS TO: Sales Manager

FULL/PART-TIME: Full Time

THE MISSION:

The mission of the Sales Operations Manager is to enhance the efficiency and productivity of the Northland sales team by streamlining processes, managing CRM systems, and providing valuable data insights. This role is critical in aligning sales strategies with business goals through effective forecasting, territory management, and resource allocation. The Sales Operations Manager will ensure the sales team has the necessary tools, technologies, and support to achieve their targets while minimizing administrative burdens. By continuously optimizing processes and delivering strategic analytical support, this role will drive sustained revenue growth and contribute to the overall success of our organization.

JOB DUTIES:
  • Process and Performance Optimization:
    • Streamlines sales processes to improve efficiency and productivity.


  • Implements and maintains CRM systems, ensuring data accuracy and usability.
  • Analyzes sales data to identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Ensures that sales teams have access to the necessary tools and technologies to perform their tasks effectively.
  • Sales Forecasting and Planning:
    • Assists the Revenue Director or VP in developing sales forecasts, territory management, quota setting, and sales planning.
    • Supports the alignment of sales strategies with Northland's business goals.
    • Aids in resource allocation to ensure sales teams focus on the right targets.
    • Provides analytical support to develop and manage sales plans to drive revenue growth.
  • Analyze Data and Reporting:
    • Provides valuable insights through data analysis to help sales leaders make informed decisions.
    • Tracks performance metrics and identifies trends to recommend actions for optimizing sales performance.
    • Develops and tracks key sales metrics to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide Operational Support to the Sales Organization:
    • Handles administrative tasks such as deal desk support and managing sales incentives and compensation plans.
    • Ensures the sales process runs smoothly and efficiently, reducing administrative burdens on sales reps.
    • Supports all teams with data, tools, and processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Provides analytical support to the Revenue Director and Sales Manager.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a sales operations role or similar capacity.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, CRM systems, and data analytics.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using sales enablement tools and CRM software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple priorities.


LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

A valid driver's license or ability to access transportation to attend work group and organization meetings is necessary.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to reach, sit, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, use fingers, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions. Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

Ability to use voicemail, telephone, calculator, computer, printer
