  • BLS
  • ACLS for Medsurg with cardiac care
  • State Nursing Licensure
    Job Requirements
  • Must have experience: Ok for first-time travelers
  • Prefer experience with trach and BiPAP, not required
  • Experience with Lasix preferred, not a must
  • RN not required to read and interpret telemetry strips
    Schedule Information
  • Shifts: 0700-1930, 1900-0730
  • Every other weekend requirement
  • Holiday Requirement: As needed
  • No Call or Standby requirement
  • Will consider block scheduling if unit needs are met
  • Self-scheduling option unspecified
    Unit Specific Information
  • Number of Beds: 31
  • Nurse to Patient Ratios: Days: 1:4-5, Nights: 1:5-6
  • Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Adults and geriatrics, Strokes, HTN, COPD, Cellulitis, CHF, A fib non RVR, Chest pain, MI after ICU, AMS/behavioral, surgical overflow
  • Charge Nurse present on each shift
  • Nurse aids/patient care techs present
  • RT Equipment: BiPAP stable, trachs established with blow by oxygen
  • Tele/monitor techs present on the unit
  • Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Lasix, Heparin
  • Floating Requirements: will float to other MedSurg units, ER holds occasionally

  • Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity
