    Certification Details
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - Required
  • State licensure as RN - Required
    Job Requirements
  • MedSurg/Onc RN experience preferred
  • Prefer experience with trach and BiPAP, not required
  • Must have experience with common titratable &/or set rate drips
  • Experience in a stroke unit preferred
  • Able to work with adult and geriatric patients
  • Capable of managing various diagnoses including HTN, COPD, Cellulitis, CHF, A-fib non RVR, Chest pain, and post-ICU MI
  • Able to titrate Lasix, Heparin drips (Lasix experience preferred)
  • Willingness to float to other MedSurg units and handle occasional ER holds
    Schedule Information
  • Shifts: 0700-1930, 1900-0730
  • Every other weekend requirement
  • Holiday requirement as needed
  • No call or standby requirement
  • Block scheduling to be considered if unit needs are met
    Unit Specific Information
  • Number of beds: 31
  • Nurse to patient ratios: Days 1:4-5, Nights 1:5-6
  • Unit provides care for adult and geriatric patients with various conditions
    Additional Details
  • Charge Nurse available as resource for both shifts
  • Nurse aids/patient care techs present with a ratio of 1:8
  • Tele/monitor techs available
  • Great unit culture and teamwork
