Certification Details BLS Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NCCT ND UAP Job Requirements MUST BE WILLING to cross train into general OR if CV volumes are low 2 years of CVOR experience required MUST be able to first scrub on procedures Must be willing to float to the floor as a 1:1 sitter to supplement hours if case volume is low Must be willing to work holidays as required Schedule Information Shifts & Scheduling: 0645-1515 M-F, start at 6a for Open Heart Case Prep Weeknight Call Requirements: 3-4 times per week, 1515-0645 Weekend Call Requirements: every other to every third weekend, Fri at 1515 to Mon at 0645 Holiday/Call Requirements: rotating holidays Call response time: 15 minutes Floating Requirements: Must be willing to cross train to other OR specialties if needed Unit Specific Information Number of Suites: 2 CVOR suites Average number of cases per day: 1-3 Common Cases: Open hearts, thoracotomies, VATS, etc. Manager/Charge Nurse on each shift: Charge Nurse Scrub Color/Dress Code: Provided Orientation: 4-5 days unit based orientation Additional Details Must have skills: Open hearts (CABG, Valve, aneurysms), thoracotomies, VATS, Convergent, AAA, carotids, ION robotic cases, ECMO, Impella 5.5, Stryker towers This department has a family atmosphere Radius Rule: 50 miles AND exclusion of connection with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13-week contract)
