  • Med Surg 3CC RN position at St Alexius Health Bismarck Medical Center
  • 30 beds, nurse-to-patient ratios: Days 1:4-5, Nights 1:5-6
  • Common diagnoses include total joint replacement, spinal surgery, urology procedure, abdominal surgery, bariatrics, and medical overflow.
    Job Requirements
  • Required Certifications: BLS
  • Preferable skills: surgical experience, post-op, early ambulation experience
  • Charge Nurse present on each shift
    Schedule Information
  • 0700-1930, 1900-0730 shifts.
  • Manager makes the schedule; considers block scheduling if unit needs are met.
  • Weekend Requirement: every other, Holiday Requirement: as needed
    Additional Details
  • Floating Requirements: Float to medical and telemetry units.
  • Bedside shift report is an expectation.
  • Close knit and good culture on the unit.
