    Certification Details
  • BLS
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NCCT
  • ND UAP
    Job Requirements
  • MUST BE WILLING to cross train into general OR if CV volumes are low
  • 2 years of CVOR experience required
  • MUST be able to first scrub on procedures
  • Must be willing to float to the floor as a 1:1 sitter to supplement hours if case volume is low
  • Must be willing to work holidays as required
    Schedule Information
  • Shifts & Scheduling: 0645-1515 M-F, start at 6a for Open Heart Case Prep
  • Weeknight Call Requirements: 3-4 times per week, 1515-0645
  • Weekend Call Requirements: every other to every third weekend, Fri at 1515 to Mon at 0645
  • Holiday/Call Requirements: rotating holidays
  • Call response time: 15 minutes
  • Floating Requirements: Must be willing to cross train to other OR specialties if needed
    Unit Specific Information
  • Number of Suites: 2 CVOR suites
  • Average number of cases per day: 1-3
  • Common Cases: Open hearts, thoracotomies, VATS, etc.
  • Manager/Charge Nurse on each shift: Charge Nurse
  • Scrub Color/Dress Code: Provided
  • Orientation: 4-5 days unit based orientation
    Additional Details
  • Must have skills: Open hearts (CABG, Valve, aneurysms), thoracotomies, VATS, Convergent, AAA, carotids, ION robotic cases, ECMO, Impella 5.5, Stryker towers
  • This department has a family atmosphere
  • Radius Rule: 50 miles AND exclusion of connection with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity
  • RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13-week contract)
