Job Summary
Beacon Hill is seeking a Customer Service Representative who will play a crucial role as a front-line problem solver, providing empathetic support to customers, financial professionals, channel partners, and distributors through phone, email, and chat.
This role primarily involves remote work, with occasional on-site requirements, and requires a high degree of reliability and commitment.
Location: Hybrid with occasional on-site requirements in Saint Paul, MN
Shift: Primarily between 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM CST, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate, timely, and accurate responses to customers, financial professionals, channel partners, and distributors via telephone, email, and chat, adhering to service and quality standards.
- Assist customers in initiating various insurance claims.
- Explain and resolve complex claim, policy, or account-related issues to customers and clients.
- Meet or exceed call center metrics while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
- Cross-train into additional product lines upon successful completion of the primary training program.
Qualifications: - Data-entry testing required.
- Strong customer service mindset with an "We do it with you" attitude.
- Active listening skills, empathy, and professional phone etiquette.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, punctual, and dependable.
- Trustworthy with the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Proficiency with computers, ability to navigate multiple systems, and strong typing skills.
- Effective time management and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced call center environment.
- Strong knowledge retention and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn and grow with the company.
Technical Requirements: - Internet speed: Download speed of 100 Mbps (25 Mbps minimal required), Upload speed of 10 Mbps (5 Mbps minimal required).
Physical Requirements: - Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Proficiency in using a keyboard, mouse, and computer for up to 6-8 hours per day.
- Ability to use a phone for approximately 6-8 hours per day.
- Capability for simple grasping, including handwriting, paper manipulation, sorting, folding, etc., periodically throughout the entire workday.
