Tanker
  • Contract Duration 6 Months
  • 1st Shift

Job Description :
  • The Assembly tanker is responsible for the Tank substation and three-phase pad-mounted transformers, making all necessary connections to bushings, switches, etc.

Job Function :
In this Function, the Tanker will
  • Locates and moves tanks, parts, and covers to the assembly area.
  • Assembles bushings and current transformers to cover or tank as specified.
  • Mounts cores and coils in tank and bolts in place. Clamps cover in place and make all electrical connections to bushings. Mounts tap changers, switches, current transformers, and vacuum fault interrupters.
  • Locates and assembles all accessories, such as oil level gauges, thermometers, pressure-vacuum gauges, pressure relief devices, etc. to the tank as specified.
  • Checks all lead clearances inside the unit and assembles needed spacers and or insulating barriers as required.
  • Performs resistance testing on small pad-mounted transformers.
  • VFI, Load break switches.
  • Build CTs and PTs.
  • Build fuse racks.
  • Read blueprints and schematics.

Required Qualifications:
  • A High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution is required.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
  • All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Waukesha, WI facility. Active-duty military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Skills:
  • Education in AC/DC Fundamentals
  • One year of previous electrical experience
