The QA Lead is responsible to apply the overall testing strategy and test plan for project implementation. He is responsible on a given project, to apply defined best practices and testing techniques. In addition to overseeing the testing activities, he reviews, develops and makes recommendations to continuously improve QA processes in adherence to best practices.
As part of his client-facing responsibilities, he also owns the UAT testing strategy. He is responsible to define the UAT testing strategy and make sure it is being executed correctly. He is the gate keeper for ticket creation by the client and responsible for the coordination of all joint QA activities.

Responsibilities:
Defines the overall testing strategy for a given client implementation
Works with stakeholders to define the test plan and the test execution
Works with the project manager to establish the testing timeline
Participates in the preparation and presentation of QA test strategy to clients
Point of contact for the client regarding the test strategy
Organizes meetings with the client to review the test strategy, test grids, etc.
Meets with the client to receive their feedback and priorities on the QA’s activities
Manages testing priorities directly with the client QA counterpart
Provides status reports on QA progress, to project manager and client
Leads the transformation of automated testing into a continuous and efficient end-to-end quality engineering function
Required skills:
Have a university education in one of the following: computer science, actuarial science or math, engineering, business or any relevant field
Minimum of 8 years of experience in Quality Assurance and minimum 3 years as a QA Lead
Certification in Quality Assurance preferred and will be considered an asset
Excellent knowledge of Quality Assurance processes
Previous experience in testing software, including excellent analytical skills and project management skills
Previous experience in creating test strategy and plans for major projects
Experience with agile methods will be considered an asset
Experience with working with offshore resources will be considered an asset
Strong working knowledge of industry standards and best practices for software testing and test automation
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as knowledge in the areas of technology and communications
Have a great attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Available to travel (Canada and US)
