OVERVIEW OF THE PAYROLL SPECIALIST ROLE:
- The Payroll Specialist will ensure timely payroll processing every Monday and Tuesday, coordinating closely with HR and Accounting teams.
- The Payroll Specialist will address payroll discrepancies and answer employee questions regarding payroll, deductions, garnishments, and adjustments.
- The Payroll Specialist will review and validate payroll data, including hours worked, tax withholdings, benefits deductions, garnishments, and wage adjustments.
- Process weekly payroll for 280-285 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with prevailing wage laws and company policies.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE PAYROLL ROLE:
- 2+ years of payroll processing experience and experience with handling garnishments and prevailing wages.
- Proficiency with payroll software and systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling payroll data.
- Strong understanding of payroll principles, tax regulations, prevailing wage laws, and relevant labor laws.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
