Job Overview:

We are currently looking for a highly proficient Family Law Associate Attorney to join the firm. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled attorney to use their knowledge and expertise in family law to represent our varied client base. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their own caseload, collaborating with our team on complex matters, and continuously expanding their legal knowledge.

Responsibilities:

• Research and analyze complex legal issues relating to family law.
• Manage client relationships effectively, offering sound advice and ensuring quality service delivery.
• Draft, review, and submit legal documents such as pleadings, motions, appeals, etc.
• Represent clients in court or before government agencies.
• Negotiate settlements in divorce cases to resolve issues of alimony, child custody, and division of property.
• Devise trial strategy that meets clients' objectives.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in family law and applicable legislation.
• Collaborate closely with fellow associates and partners on high-profile cases.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Current license to practice law in Illinois.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing family law, preferably within a law firm.
• Excellent legal research and writing skills.
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain composure in stressful situations.
• Strong interpersonal and client relationship-building skills.
• Solid understanding of Illinois family law and court procedures.
• Willingness to travel to our multiple offices depending on client needs.
