The successful candidate will be able to deliver a quality home as well as a quality home buying experience. All Superintendents go through a period of training before taking on the responsibility of building homes.nnResponsibilities include:nnMentoring with tenured construction managers to learn how to effectively oversee the construction process of homes.nnLearning how to build a home the Weekley Way and communicate with internal and external customersnnUnderstanding each phase of the homebuilding process and sales process as well as OSHA & safety issuesnnConstruct quality homes per Building the Weekley Way standards within a prescribed time schedule while minimizing costs.nnSchedule, oversee and inspect the quality of the work performed by subcontractors and hold them accountable to David Weekley Homes quality standards.nnComplete punch sheets, check frame packages, and run final inspection list on homesnnWork with a sales consultant toward providing homebuyer with the home they want and exceeding expectationsnnMaintain rapport with the buyers in regard to buyer concerns and optionsnnMaintain a professional, clean and organized job sitennNegotiating prices & working with management to establish labor budgetsnnManaging materials and completing subcontractor payrollnnQualificationsnnBachelor's degree in Construction Management/Science, Business, Hospitality Management or related fieldnnPrior exposure to home building/construction or a related field is helpful, but not requirednnKnowledge of construction practices and terminology and the ability understand blueprints and construction documents is preferrednnA team oriented attitude with a desire to positively impact your team and customersnnShould be able to build rapport and maintain customer satisfaction during the buying/building processnnManage time effectively in order to meet established goals and deadlinesnnComputer proficiency required to handle job costing, payroll and communication with vendors and tradesnnPossess the ability to supervise effectively at all levels and motivate building partners to perform at a high level of competency.nnStrong sense of urgency and persistence in follow-upnnCan analyze and resolve problems in a fast-paced environmentnnAdaptability and decisivenessnnWillingness to receive feedbacknnAdditional Informationnn.nnWhat We Offer:nnCome build your future with our winning team, recognized by Fortune Magazine as one of the "100 Best Companies to Work For" 18 times!
