Job Overview The Per Diem Pediatric RN works as part of the Outpatient Clinic team to provide care to patients across all of our service lines. We provide a collaborative multidisciplinary team approach in delivery of family patient centered care. In this position, you'll be responsible and accountable for the care provided to patients in the clinic during each shift. You'll utilize the nursing process to assess patients, plan care, interventions and evaluate outcomes. You'll work alongside our physician team to assist with procedures and provide patient education.

Pay rate for this position: $47.60 - $67.20/hour. Compensation is determined based on experience and department equity.
This position is per diem, non-exempt and benefits eligible. All per diem positions are eligible for medical, dental and vision insurance.
Responsibilities - Assesses comprehensive data including physical, psychosocial, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual needs and interprets assessment information to derive the diagnosis or issues as defined by the patient's condition.
- Involves patient, family and healthcare team members in formulating a cultural appropriate individualized plan of care and identifies expected outcomes based on assessment and diagnosis.
- Implements the plan of care in partnership with the patient, family and healthcare members.
- Ensures that all components of the plan of care are documented in the patient health record.
- Utilizes teaching strategies appropriate to the individual patient's condition and learning needs.
- Maintains a professional and therapeutic nurse-patient relationship and serves as a patient advocate assisting patients and families.

Qualifications Education BSN Preferred. ADN candidates must be willing to achieve BSN within 5 years.
Certification/Licensure RN in state of practice
BLS, ACLS, PALS
Skills Bilingual English/Spanish required
Must have experience with Pediatric IVs
