Human Resources Generalist

Delaware County - Iowa

$80k up to $90k / year

A growing manufacturer in Manchester, IA is seeking to add a driven Human Resources Generalist to their HR team. In this role you will lead the hiring company’s onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations and performance management. This is a direct hire opportunity, meaning the best fit candidate will go directly onto the hiring company’s payroll and be eligible for hiring company’s robust benefits package.


What you get to do (in a snap shot):

  • Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employees, addressing inquiries and resolving workplace issues. Mediate conflicts between employees and provide guidance on conflict resolution. Conduct investigations into employee grievances and complaints.
  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Conduct full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, screening resumes, interviewing candidates, and extending job offers. Coordinate onboarding processes, ensuring new hires are effectively integrated into the company.
  • Performance Management: Provide support and guidance to managers during performance review processes (30,60, 90 day reviews), Track and analyze employee performance data to recommend training and development programs
  • HR Policy Development and Compliance : Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, FLSA, EEO). Conduct audits to ensure HR practices align with company policies and legal standards.
  • Employee Engagement and Culture: Plan and coordinate employee engagement activities, events, and recognition programs.
  • HR Data Management and Reporting : Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HR systems.



What we’d like you to bring to the opportunity:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources and 5+ years of Human Resources experience in a manufacturing / production setting strongly preferred.
  • Working experience with a HRIS and or talent management system (preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite,
  • Proven ability to interact with team members and department heads with candor, tact, patience, and diplomacy.
  • Organized, detail-oriented and proficient at follow-up.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
