Salary: $70,000 - $75,000 per year

Job Summary:
The Sous Chef will manage daily back-of-house operations, ensuring efficient workflows and high-quality service. This role involves maintaining food quality, safety, and cleanliness standards while fostering a positive, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain professional appearance and uphold company standards.
- Ensure guests’ culinary needs are met with care and efficiency.
- Oversee kitchen cleanliness and organization.
- Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff to encourage growth and teamwork.
- Create and manage staff schedules.
- Monitor food safety, quality, and recipe consistency.
- Supervise food preparation and service for regular dining, catering, and events.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-service meetings to prepare the team for service.
- Innovate new recipes and contribute to menu development.
- Oversee opening, closing, and expediting procedures.
- Communicate effectively to maintain seamless kitchen operations.
- Lead by example with a positive and professional attitude.
Qualifications:
- Completion of company’s Sous Chef Training and valid Food Handling Certificate.
- 2-3 years of supervisory experience in a high-volume kitchen.
- Culinary Arts degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Strong skills in leadership, menu planning, and problem-solving.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Proficient with technology, including Microsoft Office and POS systems.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing repetitive motions.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
