We have a brand new role! Mirillion is looking for an experienced Senior Underwriter or Executive Underwriter to join our client's fantastic firm. This role will be responsible for underwriting and strategically expanding a portfolio of casualty business, including P&C Package in Ontario and Eastern Canada. Key product lines within this role include Casualty, P&C Package, Automobile, Umbrella, and Excess Liability. The ideal candidate will also be instrumental in mentoring and developing team members, ensuring their ongoing professional growth. Additionally, this role involves managing relationships with key brokers and clients, contributing to regional strategies, and supporting operational improvements to drive overall success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee a portfolio of both new and renewal P&C business, driving the profitable growth of key product lines in the region.
• Work closely with internal teams (e.g., risk services, actuaries, claims) to develop and execute strategies for profitable growth, leveraging technical expertise and relationship management.
• Play a significant role in achieving new business goals by maintaining an active pipeline of prospects, collaborating with broker partners, and engaging in cross-selling and account expansion activities..

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• A minimum of 4 years of experience underwriting commercial P&C insurance, with a focus on casualty lines, and proficiency in NAT CAT
• Deep understanding of P&C policy wordings and their impact on claims management.
