Job Summary Position reposted on December 9, 2024 Assist the university bursar in the management of all students' financial services areas for Business & Fiscal Affairs.
Essential Job Duties - Perform analysis of student balances, confirm account accuracy and make adjustments, as required
- Assist in the oversight of ail student accounts including fee assessment, billing, collections, disbursement, reconciliation and compliance with all applicable federal, state and institutional rules
- Consult and respond to students, parents and outside agencies regarding payment of fees, invoices, billing statements; and other student account-related financial matters
- Manage the student refund process to ensure compliance with federal and institutional rules
- Assist the bursar with supervision and training of cashiers and billing clerks
- Assist in managing and reconciling book vouchers, all-access book program, student health insurance, student rental insurance and student meal plans
- Assist in cultivating a positive work environment through assessing business processes that support the student enrollment and retention goals and objectives
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications (Education, Experience and Specialized Training) - Bachelor's degree
- At least 3 years of progressively responsible experience in student finance, student accounts, bursar and/or business office
Physical Demands - Ability to operate standard office equipment
- Ability to walk short distances
- Ability to lift and carry parcels, packages and other items
- Ability to prepare and analyzing data and figures
- Ability to view a computer terminal; extensive reading
Skills and Attributes Knowledge of: Accounts receivable and student service
