As Accounts Payable Clerk , the successful candidate will manage a outgoing payments. Verify vendor invoices, match invoices with purchase orders and process payments promptly. Handle billing discrepancies and maintain payment records. Will play a key role in a company's financial health.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Enters new vendor payable information into an accounting software system and paperless AP system. Ensures all required documentation, such as W-9's are on file as well as determining if they are a 1099 vendor.
- Set up Vendor direct deposit information.
- Enters invoices and exports data for payments.
- Responsible for full cycle AP process, entering invoices and making payments to vendors for all Agency business.
- Enters appropriate general ledger account codes according to budget.
- Prints checks and completes mailing process of same.
- Prints and uploads Vendor ACH payments into banking system.
- Reconciles vendor statements, researches & corrects discrepancies.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED EDUCATION/EXPERTISE: - High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 3-5 years in accounts payable.
- Experience in FileBound and Microsoft Dynamics SL a plus.
- Skill and ability in the use of a personal computer and software applications (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.) with strong Excel skills.
- Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain detailed records.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/ETC: - Accurately process invoices monthly, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Improve automation and workflow improvement.
- Assist in the implementation of new a new accounts payable system
- Reconciled vendor statements and resolved discrepancies
- Developed and maintained positive relationships with over vendors.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: - Visual acuity to use a keyboard and view a computer terminal. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp.
- May require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; or the ability to stand and walk.
- Ability to occasionally lift, carry and/or move light to medium weight up to twelve (12) pounds and/or exert up to twelve (12) pounds of force.
