Our client is a bank institution throughout NY and NJ looking for an IT Specialist
Role Overview
The IT Specialist ensures the security, stability, and effective use of our client's information technology software applications, including Microsoft Office 365 and WAN/LAN infrastructure. This role contributes to maximizing profits while maintaining the best interests of customers, employees, and the public.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & System Administration
Provide desktop and technical support for our client's personnel, focusing on Microsoft 365 applications, including Exchange Online, OneDrive, OneNote, Outlook (WebApp and Client), and Office Suite.
Deliver system administration and help desk support for Office 365, leveraging advanced technical skills and a deep understanding of all Office 365 products.
Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues related to software applications and network operations.
Monitor and maintain file server performance, antivirus activity, and system stability, ensuring optimal functionality.
Network & Security Management
Support the stability and security of our clients local, wide-area, wireless, Internet, and Intranet networks, as well as Cloud resources.
Assist in analyzing and deploying hardware/software updates and patch management.
Address system specification changes, including user management, with proper documentation and authorization.
Disaster Recovery & Special Projects
Assist in our client's disaster recovery efforts, including data restoration and system recovery in emergencies.
Participate in special projects and departmental tasks as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with our client policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Provide cross-functional support to other Bank departments as needed.
Perform supportive tasks related to the essential functions of the role, which may be adapted based on circumstances.
Mandatory Training
Complete all required regulatory compliance training and job-specific courses. Career enhancement training is also available.
Skills & Competencies
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Proficiency in grammar, mathematics, and interpersonal relations.
Advanced technical expertise in troubleshooting and supporting desktop applications, network programs, and resources.
Microsoft Office 365 Certification
Physical Requirements
Primarily sedentary role with occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.
Must work during regular business hours in an office environment, frequently interacting with internal and external customers and the public.
Consistently maintain positive and professional interactions.
Qualifications
Education & Training
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent specialized IT education/training.
Experience
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in IT support and system administration.
