WHO we're looking for: We are looking for an Editorial Writer who will be responsible for playing a crucial role in creating compelling content for the Galaxy Store Discover tab and other tabs. Your primary responsibility will be to research, write, and edit articles that adhere to our brand voice and tone, while aligning with our partners'. You will work closely with the operations and product team to ensure consistency across all communications. Additionally, you will collaborate with in-house designers and partners to produce a visually appealing and engaging content experience.
To succeed in this position, you should possess writing and editing skills, an eye for detail, and excellent communication abilities. You should also have a passion for storytelling and staying up to date with the latest mobile app/game industry trends and best practices.
Role and Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough research on assigned apps and/or games to gather accurate and relevant information.
- Write clear, concise, and engaging copy that aligns with the brand voice and messaging.
- Edit and proofread articles for grammar, spelling, and style accuracy.
- Collaborate with designers and developers to create visually appealing and engaging content experiences.
- Meet deadlines and managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality standards.
- Stay up to date with mobile app/game industry trends and best practices to enhance the effectiveness of the editorial content.
Required Experience and Education:- 2-5 years of experience in an editorial writer or marketing writer role.
- Advanced degree in English or marketing or equivalent practical experience.
- Understanding of editorial style guides.
- Mobile App/Gaming Industry Experience - knowledge of popular mobile apps and games and understand basic terminologies of the mobile app industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word).
Necessary Skills and Attributes:- Self-motivated individual with the ability to thrive in a team-based or independent environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organization skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Limited supervision and the exercise of discretion.
- Ability to write and complete editorial content on a daily cadence and be able to deliver on time.
- Strong Communication skills - ability to communicate clearly with team members on project tracking and any changes in delivery schedule.
