About This Role
We are seeking an experienced Interim Corporate Controller for a hybrid role based in the Itasca, IL area. This position will play a critical role in managing financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The role is project-based and will focus on key financial activities and reporting.
What You Will Work On
- Work closely with Business Unit (BU) Controllers to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Provide guidance and support on accounting issues and financial processes.
- Collaborate with the Director of Finance on consolidation activities and compliance with ASC 842 (Leases). Assist in the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements.
- Lead efforts related to audit preparation and ensure all audit requirements are met. Facilitate communication between auditors and internal teams.
- Oversee the month-end close process to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data. Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management. Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a corporate controller or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, ASC 842, and consolidation processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools.
- Ability to work on a hybrid basis in Itasca, IL
