About This Role
As a Revenue Accounting Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in assisting clients in a variety of projects and the delivery of effective month-end processes that support business objectives and operational needs.
What You Will Work On
Month-End Close (MEC) Process: - Collaborate with the team to book manual journal entries (JEs) when system failures prevent automated postings.
- Work with the engineering team to identify the root cause of system failures, calculate accurate posting amounts, and coordinate with the team for proper journal postings.
- Ensure timely delivery of all MEC-related tasks, even if it requires working beyond normal business hours.
Post-MEC Responsibilities: - Follow up with engineering teams on the status of production fixes or User Acceptance Testing (UAT) results.
- Validate corrections to ensure accurate and complete production adjustments.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis, audits, and reporting activities, including: Pulling Cloud revenue data for specific periods .Performing system reconciliations to ensure data accuracy. Delivering reports and analyses to support the controllership team.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field and 10 years of relevant experience
- Experience applying revenue recognition standard ASC 606
- Month-End Close Expertise: Strong experience in revenue recognition, deferred revenue, unbilled receivables, or other balance sheet . (Experience with backlog and Cloud environments is a plus.)
- GAAP Knowledge: Solid understanding of accounting principles and standards.
- SQL Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to write and run SQL queries, join data tables, review SQL scripts, and identify missing fields to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Organization & Communication: Highly organized, proactive, and capable of effectively communicating across engineering and controllership functions.
- Adaptability & Problem-Solving: Able to handle ambiguity and perform well under pressure during MEC.
- Flexibility: Willing to work outside normal business hours when necessary to meet tight deadlines.

- Pay Range: $75hr.
