Russell Tobin is seeking a Technical Writer for a well-known material science organization in Cordova, IL.

Job Title: Technical Writer

Location: Cordova, IL

Job Type: Contract

Length: 12 Months

Hours: 1st Shift. Must be able to start between 5:30am-8am and work an 8-hour day. Possible over time based on business need.

Pay Rate: $25 - $30 per hour

Description:

• Support conversion of Standard Operating Procedures that are in Word document into a “Workflow” task list. Workflow is a user-friendly software that that runs on our tablets on the production floor and it integrates with Company MES.
• The contractor will take work in the Factory Operating Procedures that have the details on how to run a batch chemical process and transcribe that information into an electronic operating procedure.
• The contractor will create the electronic procedure via “Company MES Workflow” interface.

Skills:

• Able to work in Microsoft Office and be able to pick up working in Company MES Workflow system.
• Candidate must have knowledge in Microsoft Suite, Excel, Word, and using Web Browser interfaces
• Must have a year of minimum experience and background knowledge in a manufacturing setting or have worked in using manufacturing machinery.
• Preferred- Have technical certification in Manufacturing background

Education:

• Minimum High School Graduate or GED
